It would appear the tweeter for the 10B that had barbequed 6.5 inch drivers and a detonated low side cap did not escape after all. It is sounding buzzy. I will need to replace both sides this time. What is the part number at Polk for the replacement. I understand the replacement is better then the original. I know this has been discussed here but I want to make sure I get the best replacement.

P.S. Now I am not so sure it is the tweeter one of the new 6.5 inch drivers might be going away, this does not bode well. fortunately I ordered a second set of MW-6503's. How is Polk on replacing bad drivers?

I feel a whole lot better now, it turns out the cable I am using for the digital feed from the sound card on the PC is bad. My present sound card does not have a optical out, nor does it have a proper coaxial digital out it needs replacement.

However I would still like the info on the tweeters. If the replacement is better then I want a pair.

The law of Saint Vidicon of The Cathode cross is still in force, it you have the replacement part on hand the original will never fail.

Depends on which tweeter you have. The SL2000 or the silver fisheye is replaced with the RD-0194. The SL2500 or the black to a goldish colored tweeter is replaced with the RD-0198. Make sure you check which one first.
