Monitor70s for front and sides?
Would it be alright to use these for the front left and right and for the side surround? I have a onkyo 515 used as 5.1 and mainly watch movies currently looking for new house so cant guess at room size. Thanks!

Welcome to Club Polk!
You can certainly do that, but the Onkyo might balk at having to drive four M-70s. The 515 is an entry level Onkyo that has limited reserves. Might want to consider stepping up to a higher model, especially one that has pre-outs like the 70X series?

Yes, welcome to the club!!
And, as cnh mentioned, it's okay to do that, and also as implied, the M70's like to have a good amount of power.
That being said, take it from a guy who's used M70's as side surrounds before, not as great as one would hope or think.
I've used M70's, driven with an external amp providing 200wpc, and in my set up, M40's actually sounded better as side surrounds than the 70's did.
On the other hand, the M70's sounded fantastic in the wide channel and blew the M40's away in sound performance as wides.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
