Receiver/AMP for Lsi15

Planning to order pair of Lsi15 floorstandings soon (from polk ebay). Don't have any receiver/amp currently. Don't have plans to buy center/rears soon (apartment space) but may be in another year or so when move to bigger size place. Will be mostly using for music (80%) and 20% for HT (connecting to bluray/hdtv).
I read even the higher end receivers haven't provided much justice to these speakers. What would you recommend for receiver/amp setup to make real use of it for 2.1 or 2.0 system for these speakers?

Pioneer avr with pre-outs matched with Parasound amp. My biased opinion.

Sunfire TGR MkIII will get the job done, and give you some flexibility going forward as well. I second also the Pioneer option, but if you get an SC series with ICE power, you may not need an amp either. The Gear... High current is what those speakers need. Bypass the receiver all together because you can always add more amps for more channels.

I am very happy running my 15's with a B&K Ref 200.2 amp.

I second Jer.War although I'll be looking soon at a dedicated pre vs. the HK. +1, except mine is the B&K 202 +. -
Just to add to your list of amplification. Also take a look at NAD, Adcom, and Rotel.

Sorry for the dumb question if but I was curious if I need to buy receiver and amp both or just amp would be fine to drive these speakers well? I don't think I really want to spend ton on receiver/amp but don't want to go too cheaper as well to not get the best sounds from Lsi15s.

You need a reciever with preouts or a preamp and an amp. Cannot use the amp by itself.

Thanks much guys...
