I am second owner. I used with a Pioneer RT707 reel to reel and a Tascam 302 cassette deck. Time to move on.

The High-Comm II was developed by Nakamichi in close cooperation with AEG-TELEFUNKEN of Germany. It is a consumer version noise reduction system based on the Telcom C4 system well received by broadcast stations and recording studios all over the world.

High-Com II provides a 20 dB noise reduction over the whole frequency band without deteriorating sound quality in any way, and it can be used with cassette as well as with open reel tape decks. It has improved performance over Dolby and dbx II noise reduction systems. The circuitry reduces negative effects that occur with compression/expansion in the noise-limited bandwidth.

The Nakamichi High-Com II uses two frequency bands of processing to reduce noise pumping and other spectrum interactions. Because of the greater compression all the way across the band compared to Dolby, High-Com II can offer 10 dB greater noise reduction across the entire audio band.

Unit is new looking, well-cared for. $200 plus shipping - cash or PayPal. Thank you for looking.
