They are very nice speakers. I have 2 pair. Paid $400.00 for a used pair locally and $350.00 on Ebay. Both were in perfect condition. I think you are better off trying to find something local and save the shipping $$. Have you asked what the reserve is? I wouldn't bid over $300.00 if you are payiing that much for shipping. It is a great speaker, and the current price is good....shipping is the killer.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

he told me the reserve is $500, but shipping is only $50 bucks to WA state each speaker...personally i think the reserve is kinda high

That reserve seems high to me. USPS won't ship over 70 pounds. I don't know how is is going to ship them.
