need advise help tuning in 660wi with onkyo rcv

First let me start off im new to audio back in the day i did a little car audio and had box systems so this is my first setup moreless

So i decided to make a decent home theater so far happy

Here are my components

Onkyo TX-NR414
Center Polk Audio CS2 Series II
Fronts Pioneer SP-BS41-LR
Rears Pioneer SP-BS41-LR
Sub Polk Audio DSW PRO 660wi


I like to know settings people might use

What i have is all speakers small and xover on the onkyo is set at 60hz can go to 40hz-120hz

got the sub at this moment set at 25 (during dark night had it at 30)

levels (-10 to +10 )
bass +2
treble +6
Subwoofer level is +2 (last-night during dark night had it at +8)
center +2
fronts +1
rears +2

so i guess my question is does this sound right im looking to get the most out of my setup and since i got this subwoofer yesterday i am happy but every now and again i get the reverb i think from port noise and during a movie my gf complained that during like Dark knight a low hum bass that over powers non action parts , if you get what im saying.

Any advise or suggestions would be great....i think im planning on upgrading in a couple months to either monitor 70's or tsi500 right now mon 70 newegg has them 180 im thinking of biting but i would need to get a different reciever that is 7.1 or 7.2 cause i still want to keep the pioneers there not bad!
