I would buy 2 of these @ $200k EACH!

Here is one used so that may help:

Awesome use of shop-vac hose, and epoxy putty!
Takes 2 people to move it (it weighs 30 pounds:eek:).

I wonder what brand of shop vac hose they used? Just some big box store hose, or did they get it from the local Ace? Ace is the place for audio and shop vac hose combos.

    OK.

You know, I'm like the world's biggest skeptic on the whole expensive cable thing, and I maybe have something slightly north of $1000 invested in my primary system, so I figure why not buy the $200,000 cables at a bargain used price of $80,000 and prove, or disprove, the theory that expensive cable are better to myself once and for all.

So that's just what I did. I had to wait several weeks for the package to arrive all the way from Sweden. I had a friend help me carry them to the basement since I didn't want my wife to know about my latest project and questionable expenditure.

That night, I snuck down to the basement, turned down the lights, turned on the stereo, and opened a Keystone Light.

I am telling you right now that I could not believe my ears!

I could actually hear the fabric of Kate Bush's skirt whip through the air while she twirled around my couch and whispering her lyrics in my ears imparting new meanings to the words that I had never understood before. Her warm breath smelled like strawberries!

I could hear the soles of Eno's glitter platform shoes sqeaking on the studio floor, and could hear the faint "frictiony" sound of metal rubbing against coiled wire as he twisted and slid the knobs and dials on his cobbled-together synthesizer during "Virginia Plain" on the first Roxy Music Album!

I dug out Heart's "Deamboat Annie" and could hear, for the first time, Ann and Nancy's firm young bosoms straining against the suede of their halter tops as they pranced, sang, struck rock star poses, and harmonized as only beautiful Canadian sisters can do!

Still not worth $80,000 I had spent so I put them on E-bay the next day.

    Good one,
But I was trying to do a controlled experiment by only changing one variable at a time.

And I consider Keystone to be my "expensive" beer.

That thing looks like an attachment for a low end Vacuum cleaner? Doesn't look like an audio cable at all. And what's that stuff about "suction"? Is the cable embedded in a hose that sucks out undesirable electrons from the general "flow"?

    Interesting.
I only bought 1. I plan on removing all the wire and actually using the hose since mine have holes in them. Johnny Dyson doesn't stand a chance!

Pep.....can you make me a similar cable but use pool hose? I really like the blue color!

I liked those crystal bean things they sell to hang on the back of your stereo, after removing those constricting power conditioners of course.

I loved the write up review. I bet they plagiarize it and post it on their website tomorrow.

I am currently (no pun intended) using a Adcom ACE-515, do you think I should ditch it?

    Thanks!

I have never seen a power conditioner not restrict the sound coming from my system but I generally listen at louder volumes...

I have one, I replaced the grounded plug with a Furutech copper male and the non-polarized plug with a Marinco.
    Very noticeable improvement.
Still prefer an IEC input on my conditioners with Furman making some pretty good ones if you swap the IEC input for a Furutech or Oyaide.

Too funny, I two want to experience the Wilson sisters halter top thing. I guess I will have to take pepster up on his offer send him 40k. I then will invest in a 30 pack of keystone light and pull Out Dreamboat Annie. I can't wait for that halter top experience, I might just have to get out Little Queen and Dog and Butterfly to experience the full effects.

I've been looking at Furman, which one do you have? Would you go "better" if you had to do it again? . . . So, you're saying stock ain't good enough? How much are the IECs you'r talking about?
