Looking for vintage brochures/manuals for original monitor line...circa 1978-79.
Also...just picked up a nice set of 7a's...need to clean.
What is best for cleaning cabinet (vinyl) and mid/bass drivers?
Don't want to damage.

Thanks.

    Welcome to Club Polk!

Not sure about the cabinet as vinyl is pretty easy to clean with most things.

But most people recommend a little windex on the drivers (NOT THE TWEETER, though) as they're pretty well protecting with that doping.

But I'd wait to get a "second" opinion on that before I go ahead!

Lots of windex on a paper towel. Wipe the driver very gently in a circular motion around the dust cap to get it wet/damp. Then after about a minute wipe it again with the windex soaked paper towel (in the same way). I cleaned 4 extreamly dusty and dirty drivers using this method and they now look almost new. I have found that getting it pretty wet with windex makes the cleaning easier as long as you don't go nuts.
