It is working for me.--Gary--

I got one of those generic deals a while ago when I tried to access CP. I seriously doubt AK is gonna be off-line for very long.

It's buggered up for me, too. -
IME, usually means that the domain name expired... probably be rectified shortly or at least in a few days.
The domain name is dead in the water here, too... -
Must have been temporary. It is working fine for me.

Well I have been logged on to AK the last 15 minutes or so and its working fine.--Gary--

For those that it works for - send us a link to one of the threads you can read.

Hasn't worked for me yet today.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Now it's really weird. I can now get to the homepage which is somewhat messed up, but, when I click on a thread, I get the generic page coming up !?!

I agree. Funny, I just tried clicking on my own link and I wind up somewhere "funky", now? Hmmmm....

On a non-related topic, I borrowed this from "another site". I can't verify it's accuracy.
Dear fellow audiophiles,
I just received an email, apparently from
AudioGon, but it is not. It is an attempt to
steal your login information.
I felt it my duty to warn my customers and friends.
It says "Notice: AudioGon account restricted".
There is then a link to click that looks like it takes you
to their site, where you log in. Do not do it! It is a scam.
You can tell because of the URL, which is not AudioGon. The scammer
will steal your information, or change the password, selling bogus
items under your name.
Please pass the word to your friends...

Let's try this again:

Yeah something funky is going on here. Link works then subsequent searches don't?
Maybe H9 is right. Or AK has been hacked. I know a while back somebody inserted "himself" as the highest poster with a number equal to all the posts ever made on AK. That lasted for a number of days and reappeared a few weeks later?

No dice for me!

Since it was working for some and not others - I bet it was a DNS issue and it has taken time for the DNS change to propogate across the internet.
The root link now works for me.

Works for me now. They likely switched hosting sites, hence the DNS issue. -
Links work on my end.
