Mixing Pair Monitor 60 with Pair Monitor 70 as Fronts

I just recently purchased an Yamaha Aventage RX-A3010 so I could have 7.1 and still be able to "bi-amp" the fronts. However, I'm going to use the feature to connect four fronts. I currently own a pair of Monitor 60s and was wondering if the 70s would work ok with them. Since the 70s are bigger I thought maybe their volume may be out of sync. I'm guessing that the 70s take a bit more juice which might keep them at a lower volume level than the 60s. I haven't checked the manual yet but maybe I can adjust the volume for all four front channels.

I recently picked up a pair of Monitor 70's and trust me you don't need any other mains going along with them.

What you need to look for is the speaker's sensitivity rating. The sensitivity rating will tell you how loud the speaker will be for a given amount of input. The sensitivity of your Monitor 60 is 90 dB, which is the same as the sensitivity for the Monitor 70, so they will produce the same amount of volume given the same input.
However if you read the manual on your RX-A3010, you will see that the recommended placement for the front presence speakers is 5.9 feet above the floor, well above your mains. Floorstanding speakers would not be suitable. If you want front presence speakers in your setup, I would recommend getting some Monitor 40s and mounting them to the wall.
Yamaha's presence channel is not the same as Audyssey's or Dolby's since they have come up with their own in-house solution instead of licensing someone else's. So I'd say it's best to stick with what Yamaha recommends instead of assuming that what works for Audyssey or Dolby will work for your receiver.

Thanks for the input guys. I found that on page 23 in the manual it shows 7ch BI-AMP+FP+RP. Although the FP and RP would have to be driven by amps it's nice to know that I can use the BI-AMP feature and still run 11ch. which in my case equals 13 speakers.:cheesygrin:...and by the way does anyone know how much a replacement grill for a monitor 70 cost.
