I have a good pair of RTA 12B'S for FREE local pickup. Has the Peerles tweets (black silk screen look with pin hole in middle). I was using them some years ago for L & R rear surrounds in my system. If you want them, PM me and pick them up.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

    Congrats!

If they're not modded you gotta do the Xovers. Really good speakers become great ones.

Thanks everyone! And yep, I be a very lucky guy, kudos to Bill:cheesygrin: As for the crossovers, what kind of DIY skills are involved as not only do I have none but with peripheral neurapathy in both hands using my fingers for anything needing the sense of touch is pretty iffy...

You'd need to be able to solder - or have someone do it for you. And have an eye for detail to be sure you put new caps and resistors in the right places.

    Not difficult, just requires patience.

It's not that bad. Even I've done some light soldering. I had "absolutely" NO experience. I bought an iron, talked to a friend on the phone and briefly watched a youtube video. I was somewhat hesitant because I thought I'd get solder over everything and screw things up.

But it might be best to just let someone else have a go. Most of the guys around here were Shop Masters in Junior High. lol When most of us more "nerdly" fellows were slacking off "there" and toting our math books around. (I know, it's sad!)

Besides. It seems like Polk attracts manly men who like to solder, work on cars, engines and bikes, hunt, etc. (am I missing anything here boys?). Tool Time kind of guys! lol Dudes that salivate at a chrome plated tool rack! Whereas I grew up around artists and eggheads (probably even worse). Not a tool in site.

    Enjoy the speakers!
