Sophie Milman jazz concert

To those who like Norah Jones / Diana Krall / Eva Cassidy etc. :

Went to Sophie Milman jazz concert yesterday at the Massey Hall in Toronto. Local jazz trio - Robi Botto Trio - opened the show, very good modern jazz sound. Sophie's concert was great. Full set of instruments (grand piano, bass, drums, electric guitar, accordion, saxophone / clarinet) accompanying. The musicians were very passionate, you could see how much Sophie and them enjoyed the music. Each instrument got a chance to shine - fantastic experience.
One thing I noticed about Massey Hall is the acoustics. We watched Robi Botto trio from the first balcony centre, but then moved to the "reserved" seats, row F right in the middle. The change in the acoustics was huge. On the balcony the bass sounded a bit muddy and hit the ears pretty hard. On the floor the cohesion in the instruments was simply awesome.
Got Sophie's last album at HMV just before the concert for $10 too. Now waiting for Norah Jones concert later this summer

She is also very humble and tells her "life stories" in-between some songs I just felt recharged a bit after this concert.
