Nice vintage Pioneer SX 1050 receiver from 1976. This is rated at 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 170 into 4 ohms and weighs 52lbs. The receiver is used and has scratches on the wood case and the top edge of the front panel. The glass has a small crack above the tunning knob and the shaft for the tunning knob is slightly bent. The AM antena holder is broken (surprise surprise)

HOWEVER the receiver works perfectly and all functions work as they should No need to clean the controls ,replace parts or anything unless you are bored. All the light even work. The receiver sounds great and has outperformed some much newer geatr. The sound is rich and full and very powerful and I have enjoyed it. The original power cord has been repaired as I used a detachable cord for my gear. All in all a perfectly working classic Pioneer and not bad looking either. Asking $375 Thanks,Keith

Is the power cord detachable, or fixed?

That cord is "fixed" as are most of the cords from vintage equipment from that period. The 1050 has many of the features of the higher model SX-1250 which was Pioneer's best until the SX-1980 came out.

These units are quite powerful by modern receiver standards. 120 watts on this unit will trump most current units. Don't know where the gepster is getting all this stuff. But this unit is one of the more desirable Pioneers, along with the other two mentioned above from around the same time.

GLWTS! I'm sure this must also be listed "elsewhere"?

I have the European version of this receiver, which is identical electronically.

it is a wonderful machine; many people believe it is the finest that Pioneer ever manufactured. And your price is very fair.
