Well I think its finally time. I am going to get out of the car audio game for now and go all in on my home theater setup to finish it off. I simply do not really get to crank it anymore  and we are looking to sell my car in the next year or so its time to sell the amps starting with this one.

For sale is a USED Sundown Audio SAX-1200D amplifier. This amp is VERY NICE and in decent/mint condition. I will post some pics tonight of the actual amp as it sits installed in my car currently. I purchased it for ~400 bucks plus tax at a local authorized dealer last year around April (link to price they matched here). It was professionally installed in my car by said shop in Lafayette, Indiana and never abused. It was used to power a 2 ohm load from my Treo TE 10.44 subwoofer (also for sale in a ported box, PM for details on that). It has been and still is in use in my car.

This amp will do just about everything you would want and not even blink twice. Anyone looking for a amp to really drive the subs in their car need look no further! It doubles its wattage as you drop down in ohms and is 1 ohm stable!

It will ship double boxed in the original box with a never installed gain knob, the manual and stickers that all came with it.

I am asking 300 + shipping CONUS.

Prefered method of payment will be paypal, with other options availible depending on the standing of the forum member. The amp will be insured for the purchase price with signature required. Price is somewhat negotiable. Trades possible depending on what you have (2 channel HT amp, speaker cables, etc). I also reserve the right to pull this amp off the market if I decide I really can?t let it go. I thought I would give Polkies first crack at this before posting this amp for sale on the local CL.

PLEASE POST INTEREST IN THIS THREAD AND PM ME. I dont want to be playing a who PM'd or posted first game. Any trades for gear please send via PM.

    Nice amp here guys!

Yes it is and I will hate it when its gone, but I want to double down on the HT. This cash will go towards the purchase of a Onkyo NR-709, an Oppo 93/Sony S790 blu-ray player, a nice 2 channel amp for my LSi 15's, or if it sells quick enough an auction for a set of Magnepan SMG C's for my 2 channel .....

A fine amp that has serious output. I had one in my BMW 745i driving two SSA 12" Icons and it was intense. For this price, it's an insane deal. Wish I needed it. GLWTS.

Oh I think you really do need it .

Thanks for the bump. I am pretty shocked this hasn't sold, but its no big deal since it allows me more days to jam on my 15 min drive to work lol...

Last price drop on this, and only valid for a short time before I put it back up to 250. I need to move this to a loving home. If I am going to have to sell it for a low low price, I would rather it go to a Polkie.

I am VERY hesitant to ship something to a forum member that joined JUST to buy this, however I am going to give it a try.

As you dont have 10 posts you cannot PM. Cost is 230 shipped to you via USPS with insurance in the amount of 500$ with Adult signature required. Payment via Paypal required. I am pretty hesitant to ship to you as no offense, but I dont know you at all.

I would prefer if you meet me halfway so you can actually hear and see the amp working and not have to worry about USPS drop kicking the box. I am willing to do so on Sunday of this weekend, but I would need to charge for my time and gas so that would be at 250. Cash only if we do this method.

I would be willing to meet halfway but not for that price. I understand about being hesitant because i just joined. I found this via google and have been looking for a 1000/1200 sundown to power a sub. And could you ship ups its only 15$ to ship and tracking is free.

I am willing to ship via UPS but only if its:
    1. Insured for what it would cost to replace it (~500 dollars)
    2. Signature required.

I recently had a issue with shipping a package where a signature would would have come in pretty handy as the package "arrived" at its destination 3 days before it actually showed up and it was missing items when it did actually show up. Last thing I want is for there to be a delivery issue, or for it to be damaged in shipping.

Oh come on and man up, where are you going to find this kind of deal, and be able to test it out before you hand over the cash?

ES, be careful. I only do parking lot deals if I take a friend. Wal Mart is a great meeting spot, plenty of people and cameras.

Honestly, at this point, forget it. I don't need the money bad enough to get screwed by someone I don't even know. Your squeezing me too much on a already spectacular deal. Enjoy your search for this amp at or below 200 dollars! At this point dont bother offering me more, as it still wont happen for you.

Off the Market for now. I might possibly consider a sale at this price if you: Have actually contributed to the forum, and your seriously interested. PM me and we might be able to work something out. For now I will just continue to enjoy the moments I can jam out with it.

No worries Cody, not my first CL sale and I normally meet in high traffic area's with camera's (Kroger, Wal-Mart, Best-Buy, Starbucks, etc).

In this case not a problem as I am pulling this amp off the market. I am tired of folks on CL, and now this guy trying to screw me on already ridiculous prices.

You realize that you were going to ship for 215-230 but in order to pick up it was going to cost me 225+30 gas and wear and tare on my car. So you would be getting 225-30 in gas which is 195. Which is slightly more than what paypal fees would be + its in cash so no waiting for transfer. I will have no problem finding the exact amp sub-par 255$ shipped.

See there wasnt going to be a PayPal fee as it the money would be sent as a gift, otherwise you would have to eat the fee, I am already losing enough on the sale. In addition the gas and wear and tear on your car is still MORE than outweighed by the ridiculous deal you were getting on this amp. And while you might find a similar amp to this one, I can promise you it wont have EVERYTHING that came with it originally, nor in as *Mint* condition. But why am I spending time trying to justify anything to you?

Basically forget it, you pissed me off and I would rather sell to someone else, or no one at all.

Quick google search brought up 2 deals that were as good or better than what you figure is "Low Balling" you. Step off your high horse when you buy something, your usually going to take a loss on it if you try and sell it after you have used it.

Interesting to note both those sales are between forum members with a lot of posts on that site........ hmmm..... sounds kinda like I was talking about above.....

I am fine with taking a loss, but taking a loss of OVER 50% after a little over a year of use, c'mon even CARS dont depreciate that bad.

Your not worth my time, please stop posting in this thread. Thanks.
