Police kill naked cannibal who was chewing off a man's face
It doesn't get much creepier than this: A naked man was shot to death by Miami police as he was reportedly gnawing off the face of another man. The Hannibal Lecter-esque scene unfolded Saturday afternoon as crowds poured into South Beach for a hip-hopfestival. After gunshots were heard on a downtown off-ramp, a police officer arrived, and seeing the ghoulish sight, ordered the crazed man to stop. When he continued to chew on his victim, reportedly eating about half his face off, the naked attacker was shot and killed, while the victim was hospitalized with critical injuries. Police haven't released any details about the people involved, but they speculate the alleged face-eater might have been suffering from "cocaine psychosis."

Possible causes:
1) Drugs? Probably not.

This is a VERY disturbing story. He was allegedly under the influence of "bath salts". The article I read said they make the user feel extra strong and violent.

I'm not interfering with anyone chewing someone else's face off unless it's family or friends. Dude is obviously on drugs and probably immune to pain...which was the case since he was shot once and acted like he didnt notice.

Well, I'm sorry to say that I am not currently prepared for survival after the zombie apocalypse. However, this story has demonstrated that I must work hard to prepare as soon as possible.

It's actually a methamphetimine type drug, not LSD. Either way, the stuff is bad news.If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money. -
The "bath salts" are NOT LSD, not even close. There are more and more legal but psychotic drugs available. Fake pot is chemicals sprayed onto herbs, there are plant nutrients that have nothing to do with plants despite the marketing, they are drugs bypassing laws and the FDA. The reason the media is saying they are in common with lsd and mushrooms is to make it seem more pychotic. The problem is they are a new realm and level of drugs. They have more in common with gasoline, glue, veterinary meds, and PCP than any other long established drug. There are loop holes in the law that are exploited by folks that make drugs that don't get you high, they just make you crazy.

My wife wants me to get a gun. I was raised with guns which is why I don't want one. My wife especially would be a dangerous influence on a gun, no offense to her non-gun totting ways. My local area just had a father shoot and kill his son. The son had a long history of bad things and he attacked the father, biting him numerous times. The father is in the hospital with serious infections from the bites. They suspect bath salts were involved.>
