RTA 12 pcb's

Are the pcb in the rta 12 the same boards used in the rta 12c's? May be doing the mod to my c's but do have a pair of rta 12 pcb's ( as parts, not in cabs) Can the rta12 pcb be built as c's by simply changing the cap to the 12c values may have to alter the circut paths butare the naked pcb's the same? Thanks. Also what the coils?

    If they're 12's, the very 1st ones of the RTA line, I don't think they're compatible with B's or C's. The latter have very different Xovers, which made the two 6.5 inch drivers in each cabinet operate in different parts of the frequency range.

    Related to this is the fact that RTA 12B's and C's are mirror imaged - if set up with the speakers on the wrong side (i.e. the right on the left and vice versa) the soundstage totally collapses. When they're set up properly the music doesn't sound like it's even coming from the speakers, it's just projected into the room with a sweet front to back depth and side to side width.

    Modded 12C's have some of the best imaging I've heard outside of SDA's

    Was afraid of that. Oh well , hoped i could use them if the boards were the same.
