Hmmmm. Might have to buy these. He had them listed at $300 a while back.
-
Yeah he started at $300 and has continued to drop them. Bet you could pick them up for less then what he's asking.
If you do let me know. I could bring mine over and we could do a before and after mod listen, but I don't think those are C's. -
Thinking about buying those monitor 4's with the peerless tweeters he has for sale.
-
I must have missed those.

$150 is a good price. Looks like he has some vinyl on the shelf. See if he's willing to part with some of that while you are there!Carl

Those look like B's: Peerless tweeters and the metal mounting pegs (instead of plastic trees) for the top hats. For $150 and the cost of new caps and resistors somebody could have some killer speakers."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

Looks like someone must have bought them. $150 must have been it which is good because if they would have gone any lower I would have been too tempted to pick them up. Hopefully they went to someone who is going to unlock their true potential.

$150 is too little for these great speakers, but it's all a question of timing. I'm interested since mine are up for sale in my local CL. Here we have someone selling some Monitor 7s for $75 and someone with a pair asking $300.
Looks like there is now an ad for some SDAs for $300 obo.

just curious why not? i am midwestern and have seen both of these ads and have been mulling it over.I would like to know as well.
Not a big fan of the earlier Sda's with the dimensional tweeters. Some say if you unplug the dimensional tweeter it sounds much better but I never bothered. I'd hold out for the better 1c's or 2b's. -
Thanks for the clarification and I am not surprised by your comments. I have read similar and that is why I didnt bother with these. Also I was wrong the guy must have just took his ad down to rewrite because it is back up at 150.
