After almost 2 years of not biking, I decided I was going to jump in headfirst and commit to a lot of riding. I'm going to stay local for the summer, take no vacations (just days off here and there) and focus hard on strength training at the gym and biking outdoors. I already have a Specialized Globe Hybrid bike, but really wanted to go for a sweet road bike as well. Here's the new road bike...

Around the Baltimore Metro area, we have some very good bike trails. The NCR Trail starts in Hunt Valley MD and over the years, has been extended all the way up to York PA via the York County Heritage Trail at the MD/PA Line. I take the Hybrid bike on this since it's a crushed limestone surface and not good for road bikes. Here's the NCR...

For Road Biking, we have the BWI Loop trail which is roughly 12 miles, then has an extension to continue on to the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail. Both are paved for road bikes.
