Anthem receiver FS .... I just burned over the ARC CD but you can download it from here....... http://www.anthemav.com/downloads/anthem/a-v-receiver/mrx-300/software ......instead of installing the CD so its not a deal breaker its just a different way of putting it on your Laptop or computer that you will need for using ARC anyways

Here is a link to the unit I bought last week ... http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?132462-Unboxing-the-Anthem-MRX300

Well I just never typed it as no one really cares what I say lol. In a nuttshell its gets really close to the avm series for music but not as good. When it comes to movies the diff is marginal so I would recommend this as a great HT pre for an amp although it has quality amplification Anthem style inside

I've been looking for the 500...this may be a cheaper alternative. What are the differences, and is there any way to transfer the warranty? Seems like a few have developed problems. How'd the ARC compare with the separates? Thanks.

For the price the 500 costs you could buy a used amp and surpass it in combination with a 300. I dont think the warranty can be transferred but you could try. I never went online to register it so I would have to look into that. Never heard about any probs with the 300 so I'm in the dark with that. Here is a link of some of my findings I posted last weekend with my initial impressions. One thing I never added was that this has been the only AVR I have never had to adjust the volume up or down during a movie. The video is clean and better than my avm40 using hdmi and you get a graphic overlay so you can use the full functions for volume etc whilst the movie is playing. There is a whole bunch of other stuff I have not messed with yet like having the hdmi pass through when the receiver is on standby I think

Anyways here is the thread link of my comparison http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?132479-Anthem-MRX-300-vs-Anthem-avm-40-vs-Pioneer-Elite-vsx01-thx

The ONLY differences are the 500 and 700 have USB inputs on the front and a bit more wattage. The 300 + amp is where it's at if you can do it.

Thanks for the info... Anyone know how the warranty would work if PFB hasn't registered it with Anthem yet?

Who ever eats the paypal gets free shipping that runs around $50. Just to let the interested know that the dealer is not an official Anthem dealer but I left him a message just in case there may be an exception. So factor shipping I am pretty much letting this go for $825
