Need help updating DS7200 system - want to add LSi15 fronts
Hi Everyone,
I currently have the Polk DS7200 system which has a preamp, 5 satellites and a sub. The preamp is old enough that it doesn't have hdmi inputs, which is part of the reason for wanting the upgrade. I currently have just the preamp and a dvd player + direct tv box hooked into a 480p Infocus projector.
I am wanting to step up to blu ray and a 1080p projector, and possibly upgrade to 7.1. For the 7.1 I would want to use LSi15 fronts, and I have a pair of dedicated amps I could use to drive them in a bi-wire configuration. My question is, is there anything I can do with my existing DS7200 setup, or would I just be better off going with a new 7.1 or 9.2 receiver that has bass management, and using them that way.
Thanks,
Derek
