Adding an amp to onkyo tx-nr609 ??????

SETUP: ONKYO TX-NR609 100W PER , fronts RTI A5 BI AMPED, rear RTI A1, sub PSW10 .. IS AN AMP NEEDED TO GET THE BEST QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE FROM THIS SETUP AND IF SO HOW DO I CONNECT IT TO ONKYO TX-NR609 PLEASE HELP ?????

    Welcome to Club Polk JLP. More power will always help to insure that your speakers will operate to their full potential. Unfortunately, your receiver does not have the necessary preouts to hook up an amp. You would have to upgrade that first. The Onkyo 709 series & up have them.

    thank u for ur help .... will i still get good perfomance until i upgrade to 709 .. i just bought 609 2mnths ago ..lol

    Yes rti a5 should sound good running off that receiver... The a5 shouldn't be too hard to drive well
