Always wanted to get my ears on a pair of those. How to they compare to Monitor 10's?

Not as boomy but also not as deep. Better midrange to me.

I prefer the tweeter mtm style. Than the way it is in the 10's.

I think the 8TL's have more solid bass, much better midrange focus and a killer soundstage comapred to the Monitor 10's.

    Thanks for replies.
Price is $150 so kinda on the high side.
Hmmm... not sure how much of an upgrade they'll be from Monitor 7's.

For $150, maybe stick with the 7's. The 8TL's will be an upgrade, but not sure $150 worth of upgrade. Offer him $100 and maybe settle at $125.

    That's what I'm thinking.
Need to give the 7's more listen before moving up and I got them 7's for less than $60.
Will pass on those or wait for the price to go down. :)

I've got a set of 8T's in my office rig. Scored them for $30 at a garage sale. I really like them...

    Funny how things work out.
I was checking these out 2 weeks ago and passed due to high price but snagged a different pair yesterday for $50.

I have a pair RTA8TL's I got off of Craigs List for $40.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D
