Gents,

I've decided against doing this upgrade at this time. I no longer need these parts.

2 ea. - Mills MRA-12 0.5 Ohm
2 ea. - Mills MRA-12 2.7 Ohm
2 ea. - Sonicap 5.8uF 200VDC
2 ea. - Sonicap 10uF 200VDC
2 ea. - Sonicap 12uF 200VDC
2 ea. - Sonicap 20uF 200VDC
2 ea. - Sonicap 30uF 200VDC

Retail is $284.18 plus shipping per Sonic Craft yesterday.

Will ship all of the above for $200.00 (approx. 33% off retail).

    I did this exact upgrade to my old CRS+ from Sonic Craft and is was a great update on the speakers; highly recommended. A great price on a great project.

    If agfrost's claim falls through for any reason, I'd be interested in them.

    Can anyone tell me why this parts list has two each (2x) of the 10uF, 20uF and 30uF caps when on gimpod's parts list it calls for six (6x) of the 20uF cap? Which would be right for the SDA-2B?

    The 30uf and the 10uf together will work just fine as well as a 20uf and 20uf to get your 40uf..

    For future reference, given both options, isn't it better to have a balanced pair of 20uF caps than a 10uF and a 30uF for the XO upgrade?

    I believe the 30/10 combo was used out of necessity in the CRS cabinets in order to have space to make it work. 20/20 would generally be the preferred method for the 2BTL, but as I didn't do the ordering here, I takes it as I gets it!

    Thanks agfrost. Nice score for you at the price paid! :mrgreen: Good luck with the upgrade. Do keep us posted on your thoughts and impressions as you go thru the process. I have a nice stock pair of 2Bs I've been sittin' on for about six months now and this price point would have been a sweet catalyst to get the X-over upgrades rollin'.

    Yeah......woulda, coulda, shoulda....easy for me to say now! :cool:

    I'll do my best to get these in the mail tomorrow (the US Open, after all, is starting tomorrow and we are having a viewing party/barbeque so it may be Friday).
