1200.1 and 4 DXi124 SVC Subs Need sugestions on Sub box, Wiring, Setup

Well I'm upgrading from a kole 1920 amp and cvr12 kicker dvc these items have been passed along to my wife :cheesygrin:

I am looking for suggestions on my budget system - Need sugestions on Sub box, Wiring, Setup?

I have a used Polk Audio PA1200.1 Amplifier ? L82769B $118

I have 4 new DXi124 SVC 12" Single-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofers $128

I have been looking at a straight 4 speaker sealed box that has 1 cu ft per subwoofer. Is this adequate?

I found a wiring diagram that shows 4 - 4ohm svc wired together parallel I think presenting a 1ohm load on an amp. Is this my best option for what I have?


I have a Pioneer DEH-P47DH head unit.
This is in a gmc Safari van

Well I wired my wifes speaker incorrectly and its burnt "it is rock solid with no flex" so I guess she is going to get 2 of my PA DXi124 SVC 12

I sill am looking for suggestions on my setup thogh the configuration has now changed

I have found I can wire this set of two speakers @ 1ohm 2ohm and 4 ohm

My main question is how to wire speaker to this amp Correctly ???, The amp instuctions mention the amp is parallel internally and the combined load impedance should be taken into consideration when connecting multiple subwoofers
