My list would be in order.
1. 2.3TL
2. 2B's with the TL mod (Best for more intimate settings).
3. 1C's or SRS2's
4. CRS+ with 4.1TL mod -
Yep, subs with SDA's are overkill unless you are set-up in an extremely gigantic room.

that's your own misguided opinion.design is where science and art break even. -
So I was looking at the schematics for the 1.2TL's and the 2.3TL's, and, please bear in mind I am not an electrical engineer, but it looks like the 1.2's have all four stereo drivers crossed over the same and all four dimensional drivers crossed over the same, whereas on the 2.3's the two dimensional drivers are crossed over differently, and, out of the four stereo drivers, two are crossed over the same, and the other two are crossed over differently.
Is this correct? Does it explain some people's preference for the 2.3's?2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

I currently own the 2A's (stock), 1C's (stock), SRS's (somewhat modded), and 1.2TL's (stock). Of all of these I prefer the dimensional effect of the 1.2TL's the most but prefer the tonal balance of the 2A's by far over the rest. My least favorite (by far) is the 1C's. I would love to try a small set of the SRS's. I think their simpler design with wider driver spacing and larger passive would probably be the sweet spot for my ears. maybe one day I'll know for sure. Good luck and enjoy! If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!

Sub? I don't need no stinkin' sub.
Seriously, the bass response is already deep, tight and shakes the room. I hear no reason to add a sub.Political Correctness'.........defined

that's your own misguided opinion.
How is it misguided? Have you heard my rig to even evaluate whether YOU think I need a sub? Properly set up and properly powered it isn't necessary to add a sub to get a full range of music out of most SDA's, the CRS being one obvious exception and perhaps the 2B, but I think are capable as well, but not to the extent the SRS2's, 1C's and so on up the line.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
