Potential problem with iTunes account. Anyone have a similar experience?

Recently my credit card, which ties the 3 Apple iTunes accounts for my family, had an 86 cent charge that wasn't associated with any of our purchases. Another charge of 83 cents is in the recent transaction log online. Apple will only correspond via email and I have started a dialog with the rep.
I'm asking here because many of you may have iTunes accounts and either had a similar experience or need a fair warning to be on the lookout.
They send an email receipt for every purchase and we have none for the charges in question. I'm concerned about hacking one or more of my iTunes accounts, but wondering about the safety of the credit card associated with them.
Please let me know if you can shed any light on the issue.
