LSi25 Subwoofer upgrade

The question is:
Can I use the Polk Audio DXi 104 SVC subwoofers to upgrade the current subwoofer on the LSi25?
I've heard the LSi15's use the DBi series woofers for this type of upgrade. Call me crazy but I was thinking of doing this upgrade because I was able to purchase the DXi's for about $50 bucks + shipping for the pair.
I already have a PSW1000 that I use with the LSi25's, and I have it placed behind the viewing area. But I was looking at getting a little lower from the front speakers.... So is this recommended or not? why?
Thanks
Juan

Forgive me, but if you have a sub already, don't you cross over the 15's ? Or you running them full range plus the sub ? If thats the case, spend the coin on a better sub. The psw1000 is ok, but it doesn't have the sharpness, the definition of todays subs. A tad wooly and rounded in the lowest regions, just my .02 as I've had one before.HT SYSTEM-

For $50 I'd give it a try and see how it sounds. Never hurts to try.

Tony I use the LSi25's in a 7.1 setup, mainly for HT. The LSi25's are set for small, crossed at 80hz, so that the subs can do their job. I'm not too overly impressed with the current subs in the 25's, they are ok, just not enough crsipy bass in there for my taste. So I figured that since I was able to get these DXi subs on the cheap, they might make an improvement. I've read the threads on the upgrade for the LSi15's using DBi series subs and everyone seems to like that mod. But my mod with be with the 25's and a different series subwoofer.
