My awesome wife got me an early Fathers Day present.. KEF Q600 center to match the Q900's !! I hooked it up right away and ran the setup, and have only been listening for a couple of minutes... It is noticably cleaner sound.
Only question is that the auto setup told me to reverse phase on the center.... I did and then it passed the phase portion, but I have never had it tell me to do this before..

Nicely done! Having an awesome wife is, well, awesome.
I've got an awesome wife also, she is 99 percent supportive of my audio/video addiction. She's 1 percent pi**ed off at my sub, but going to "allow" me to get a second one. Now that's an awesome wife.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

What are your thoughts on the KEF Q's for home theater? Searching for a set of HT speakers, and these are on my list of speakers to audition, but have not had luck finding a local dealerMy System Showcase!

I really enjoy them. The sound from them is clear and they have great sound placement for HT.. I use it mostly for HT but it also seems to perform well with music too. I do not have vast expierience listening to different systems and speakers, so I would suggest putting them on the audition list and see if you like them. Make sure to bring a movie with you that has lots of placement and sweeping... I think this is one of the great things about these is their ability to smoothly make sounds come from everywhere.
I am running them off the reciever, so they should sound even better off of your amp. I feel confident now that what is being played is not being colored and is being played as well or as crappy as the source.
Cosmetically the drivers are very good looking. The cabinets are well done, but very square and boxy.. certainly will not win any fashion shows but are clean looking similar to a well done vinyl... I think they put the money into the drivers and design rather than fancy cabinets.Pioneer SC-25 | Adcom GFA-555 | KEF q900 Front | KEF q600 Center | Polk Monitor 30 Rear | Polk CS2 Rear Surround | Polk DSWPRO 660wi sub -

The q's are fantastic for home theater. I work for a kef dealer and I peresonally have the q series in my home ht setup. We have them in our showroom and they sound unbeleiveable, truly dynamic for ht. Just a touch bright for music, but it dosnt offend me at all. We are in kansas.....so texas may be a little far. what color were you looking for if you want a set??Harman kardon signature 2.1 amp
