Not sure if this a great deal or not, especially since they need new tweeters. I'd probably grab them myself if I could swing the extra cash.

    I'd say a pretty darn good deal. I think the 3.1tls are worth a good deal more. Although I have no idea on market value of them at the moment.
    design is where science and art break even.

    I saw those too...I've been upgrading like mad lately...otherwise I may have been interested in these. I wonder how long before they sell.

    I know what you mean. I just picked up another pair of Polk Monitor 7C's that I probably didn't need. If I could unload some gear quick, I could probably get them. They'll be gone by tomorrow though, I'm sure.

    Much better then the pair going for $800 here. They were stock and in good shape.

    i dont know if any of you actually tried to contact the seller... very weird situation is what i will say... friend selling for a friend type deal. Maybe a good price but getting a simple answer like what does the "ding" look like on the back corner was next to impossible. kept referring to the cabinets as "cabbage patch dolls"...The seller was creepy. just FYI and too bad such a strange folk has a decent rare set of speakers.

    If someone decides to make a trip to view these, read Denzel's post before you go.

    Take somebody with you. In fact, take a couple of folks with you. "Backup" may be useful.

    The "friend of a friend" thing, dim pictures, and the fact that Cedar Hill is in Jefferson County says a lot, IMO.
    Things tend to get a little "methy" in Jefferson County.

    i agree with txcoastal... definately sounded like an "influence" was bestowed upon the seller. Better be safe than sorry. i had considered making the trip (i live about 2 hours Southwest of KC) until i spoke with Cheech & Chong... then thought maybe not..
