Absolutely impressed tonight with Joshua and Jessica. Won't delete this one.

What an incredible amount of talent.

(I searched and couldn't find any thread on this season....).

Anyone else watching? Can't decide on who's my favorite after tonight.

    Personally, I don't care for either Jessica or Joshua. I get tired of them yelling at me and basically singing the same style of song week after week. I will opine that neither will enjoy commercial success.

    The judges are so "in the tank" for those two it just turns my stomach. Hollie isn't half-bad and they just kill her every week. I don't understand their inconsistent criticisms - they will call one contestant "pitchy" and another "just being true to yourself". I'm about done with even watching the show.

    Fully agree with the judges comment. And sometimes I want to just turn it off and leave.

    BUT.......you have to admit that J&J have gobs of talent. Not many people can do what they can do. Will they have success? I think they will with the right choice of songs.

    My wife is really into the show & I'll watch it with her with sometimes. I have to say the one that impresses me the most is Hollie. Just a marvelous voice that I could just sit & listen to. Joshua on the other hand makes me want to turn down the volumn with all his high pitched screaching. Man it's like fingernails on a chalk board. Jessica is very talented & has a nice voice but she just doesn't grab me. And I scratch my head everytime the judges praise Joshua...maybe they have earplugs on, who knows. It's a shame how they come down on Hollie, it's like they have it in for her.

    Pearsall001, you're right,the judges have had the favorites since early on and Hollie wasn't one of them. In fact, the judges are the ones who have ruined this show imho. Spewing the same rhetoric week after week. One thing's for sure, the judges can't use the save anymore and America will decide who will win this season. Add me to the list of those who prefers a clean singing voice to someone screaming, and going through vocal gymnastics.Phillip Phillips is the next to go, he's about as marketable as Lee DeWyze.:rolleyes:

    Wrong. Although he is the worst singer (If you can call that sing....), I bet he will be the most successful selling albums.

    My wife and I watch it and think Joshua will and should win it.

    We also liked the last 10 finalists this year but Joshua does sound great here at my house. We think Philip Philips is marketable on todays radio.

    We also watched the voice the past few years or 2 and thought American Idol had better singers overall except for a couple of the voice contestants. The one girl could sing Adele pretty darn well !! and the one guy could sing opera style very well also. Two great talents for sure!!!The winner of the voice (name aludes me for now...old age) was pretty darn good himself for todays kind of music.

    My wife and I enjoy all kinds of music and these shows, we know they are productions for entertainment values, do provide some weekly routine viewing just like football does for us when it is on. Just think, America's got talent starts Mon. ....we'll be watching probably.:smile:
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
