Hi all. Not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but just looking for opinions on whether these are a good deal or not. Thanks!

Doesn't appear to be a bad price. I would try to get them for a little less if you can. But 75 ain't bad and they look good.

Not a steal at $75 for 4's in my opinion but they sound very good.

I recently sold a pair of those for $80. based my price on replacement drivers going on e-bay, kind of like the ad mentions. They look good. I never listened to mine before i sold them so i can't say much about their sound. Those look to be in good condition.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Is the SL1500 tweeter as harsh as the SL2000?

It's difficult to compare unless we get same speaker model with different tweeter.
SL2000 in 5B sounds great to me and I like the SL1500 on the 4's as well.

I have the same pair of speakers in oak. They are worth the money and I don't believe the SL1500 tweet is nearly as harsh as the SL2000.

My first Polk purchase in late '80's I think. Good speakers but you could do better.

I bought a pair when I got my 5B's and the guy did $60 for them. Use them for surrounds and they are great!

if the condition is really 9/10. then I think it's a fair price. personally, I'd not pay more than 50 for them

Those are kind of the black sheep of the family, since they're the only ones in the Polk lineup at the time to use that tweeter. Personally I'd have a hard time paying $75 for them when I see 7's & 10's going for not much more.

The ad mentions 5JR but looks like 5B's.
That is way better deal and way better speakers than the 4's originally posted.

Much better deal. They're 5jr's. Look at the distance from the edge of the MW & passive to the cabinet edge. Looks the same. Just a funky camera angle.

Definitely snag those 5's. I have a pair of Monitor 5B as well as 4's and the 5's are easily the better speaker.

I would definitely go with the 5jr's w/ the PR's.

As a reference on the Mon-4's, I picked up a pair in almost perfect condition, with the walnut veneer for $40.
Also for reference, btw, the VS-25 have the same tweeters.

4's are good as well but cannot serve as fronts while 5's can be used as fronts.
