I'm looking to round out my HT speaker setup so that I'm all Polk. I bought some RT35's and a RM1000 new back in the day and recently found some RT25's (for $8.50! at a rummage sale) that are now my surrounds. Now I'm looking to get a center channel to round out my system. After some research and review reading, I would really like to find a nice CS245i. I'm located in the St. Louis area for local sales, but would do a shipped deal. What's out there? Thanks in advance.

these come up regularly on ebay. I think that there are a couple there right now.
There is a good chance someone here will have one sitting in their closet as well...

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yeah, I saw there are two now listed on Ebay, we'll see what they go for. I figured I'd try tapping directly into the enthusiast resource though.

I have a CS300 I am not using, if you are interested.
Where are you located? -
I'd definitely be interested. I'm in the Saint Louis, MO area. Price and condition? It looks like the CS300 is a little taller than the 245, 7" versus 6 3/8", I need to see if that will fit in my stand. Thanks for the reply.

Well, I just snagged a cs245i off ebay for a pretty good price. It looks like a nice one, we'll see when it gets here. I'm pretty stoked to round out my setup. Thanks for the replies, everyone. I'm glad I joined CP, seems like an interesting and helpful place. Thanks again.

good for you
that's what it all about, the tooones -
Thanks! I got the cs245i yesterday. Besides a ding on a lower back corner (that will never be seen), it's in great shape. Man, between adding the rt25's in the back and the cs245i in the center, my system sounds completely different. They really show how bad the cheapo Sony center and surrounds were that I've been using for the past 9 years. I'm really looking forward to watching War Horse this weekend with my rounded out system. On top of it all, I only spent ~$93 total for cs245i and the rt25's.
My system might not be the latest and greatest, but between these old Polks, a Onkyo TX-SR501 reciever and a Sony KDS-55A3000 projection TV, it serves me well. Having a decent HT setup is nice, especially when you're tied to the house with young kiddos and spend a lot of weekend evenings watching movies. -
