hello again guys,
i am now planning to upgrade my stereo system main speaker. my 2.1 current set up rti a1 and dsw pro 400, the room size is small to medium.
i'm planning for rti a3 or a5 as my main speaker, would the a5 match well with my current sub?
thanks,
jeff

They should match your sub. Just make sure to get the crossover point and phase setting on the sub correct if you plan to run the main speakers full range.

What are you powering your RTiA1s with now?
I went down a similar upgrade path starting with RTi4s (the predecessor to the RTiA1) and went to RTiA3s in a 'medium' sized family room. The RTiA3s were, imo, a minor upgrade - nice speaker. But the bigger upgrade was good external amplication.

Sorry Jeff, I have no experience with the newer RTi line up. But might be a good idea to upgrade to an external amp instead like others have suggested if you're currently running a receiver.

the rtia1 is hook in my 1996 onkyo(A922m) stereo amp, i'm also considering amp upgrade if this is the best way to do. any idea which amp is best to drive the rtia1?this is mainly use in pure music only.
