It's spring cleaning, so time to evaluate what we really use and don't use...to buy more stuff that we will use!
Asking $350 + shipping, reasonable offers considered. I will also be listing this item on other websites.
OPPO BDP-83, original owner, bought May 2010 for a secondary system that's primarily used for everyday TV watching and music - so this Oppo was maybe used once/month if that. FWIW, we do almost all movie watching on the "big system" in the basement which also has a BDP-83...and much nicer TV and sound...
Audiogon rating 9/10 only due to age.
I have everything that came with this player when new - backlit remote (barely used as we use a Harmony), cloth bag, shipping box, all inserts, factory cables, etc. I haven't updated the firmware on this player in a while (currently has BDP83-55-0226) but it's never hiccuped once. The attached pictures are when I received and unboxed this 83 (and yes, I have removed the plastic wrap covering the drawer). Since then, it's been installed in a well-ventilated cabinet in a no-smoke, no-pets, no-children environment by this somewhat anal AV-phile... This is a 100% original BDP-83 - no mods, no SE upgrade. Always plugged into a Panamax M5410-PRO surge protector / line conditioner.
I have perfect feedback here, and also on Ebay and Agon (though haven't Agon'ed lately...)

This Oppo is hooked up in my living room and I'm very impressed with it.
Packed in both original shipping boxes. Arrived to me in perfect condition.
Can't wait to get my dedicated HT done and see how it looks paired to my JVC RS40.
