Third times a charm ?

Some of you may recollect, I once had a Sony STRDN1010 for my set up, blew the transformer, had it repaired kinda, and Sony eventually took it back. You would think I learned my lesson, right ? Well, Newegg had a sale on the next model, the STRDN2010, to which I bought, last October. Dang it if it didn't kick out the sub output, no signal coming from the receiver. I tested the PSW10 on an, RCA direct wired and worked fine, then on an old Soundesign, believe it or not, I have that with an array of old junk speakers in the garage when putzing about. It works just fine, as does the cable. So, Sony is sending me a label to get this second unit I tried fixed. So, I will be in the market for a home theatre set up, yet again. I have the Monitor 60's for fronts, the CS2 center, and will move the 40's to the back in my new endeavor. I am tossing between Pioneer, Onkyo or Marantz and in that order for the set up. Anyone having good luck with a similar set up or have a different receiver in mind for me to abuse and it takes it ? Funny enough, I hadn't been abusing the stereo like I had the first time around with the 1010 model. Guess that's why the main channels still work, ha. I also plan on getting something a little more potent from Polk that will handle the power from the Sansui, either the Monitor 70's or above. But, too, I have to give the Saansui a little love as well, maybe new or reman caps and get the level meters going. I am sure once I start taxing the old receiver, it may not like it so much without caps being redone or replaced. Hope all is well in polk land to my fellow polksters.
