Saw one that looked interesting.
I've not heard one so I'm looking for your input.
First of all, it would go into an enclosed cabinet so heat is an issue - that's why I've looking for a used Sunfire.
Sound wise how is it? I do maybe a 70/30 split HT to audio.
Price/value suggestions maybe?
It would be pushing a RT5000 setup right now (SDA in the future maybe, this site is gonna drive me crazy )

Do you mean Acurus? And are you talking about the Klipsch owned era or the newer Indy Audio Labs models?

    Nope, Aragon.
Best I can tell Acurus was the "value" line.
It appears that the 2007 was introduced shortly after Klipsch bought them from Mondial and that Indy continues to support the earlier models.

Hope you have the room for it? That is a beast of an amp. Can't really say anything about the sound of the 2007 but have heard a 2005 and thought it was very musical and clean. I won't say it was warm or sterile just very clean. Very NAD or Rotel sounding if you want a reference. Sounded better than Sunfire IMHO.

I would guess the 2007 is similar.

I also believe they are common ground and not built as mono blocks so it should be SDA friendly.

You're right, my mistake. I think I remember reading before that though they carried the Aragon name, those amps were more along the lines of the Mondial era Acurus amps that preceeded them. At any rate, I've own both Mondial era Acurus & Aragon. Don't think you can go wrong.

If memory serves me well, (?) they go for around $1700 or a little higher on A-gon.

More derail........I have a friend with a beautiful 72 'runner with the 400 and 4 speed. Black with white strobe stripe over the roof. He bought it new.

I had the 2005 for a bit. I found it kind of bland and boring...nothing special.

    Good luck,
