This so far is the best movie to test woofers and surrounds.... In my opinion better than Dark Knight Series or Black Hawk down, Hurt Locker, ALL the transformer series (yup own them all in the collector's edition) and Sucker Punch....

Best part it was 14.00 dollars from Walmart....

Just thought I'd share.....

There is more to movie audio than boom. Any fool can add booms to a movie. The movie itself was mediocre.

But it has quite a lot of sound detail.....

    Corny but entertaining.

I just wish the movie was a documentary.

I wonder what he was doing over there. I am not questioning his service, but to say this is as close to the real thing for the last ten years...

Not fighting aliens, but about cores values, camaraderie, priorities and guts. Some of the comments from people who served as a marine, made similar unsolicited comments on Amazon as well.... One ex-marine made comments on Amazon saying general people commenting on the movies were couch soldiers... never really serving....

its like 3% of the population serve.... so I would give them more credibility in their comments.

    Just my IMHO

I served but never saw combat... these types of movies, I generally ignore because they tend to be cartoonish in their portrayal of the military(Independence day anyone?). I thought your friend might have been sarcastic in is comments rather than serious, but if other vets are saying he same thing, I will check this one out Slider. I meant no criticism really, as I tend to lump these scifi/military films into the same basket.

First of all, thank you for serving our country. I for one really appreciate it because I know it takes a lot of dedication and hard work to be any type of soldier.

Yeah I really liked it and so did my friend who served.... I mean I am a fan of FMJ or Platoon or some of the old movies too, but this one is good too.... Hopefully you will give it a chance and its $14.00 at Walmart....

That is all I am saying.

It surely does. Love it when they fire up the Missouri with a crew of 20. Classic Hollywood.
