Small mixer/amp for karaoke

A friend asked me to look for something for her to do parties at her house with. Anyone got anything laying around not in use? Something like a Crate CSM12 or similiar? Would prefer to stay away from Behringer stuff. But would consider it. Budget is, speakers included, in the $300-350 range. PA speakers needed as well. But shipping would probably kill the deal unless you are somewhat local.

Well, if she doesn't mind going with a separate mixer and amp, and can survive with a Behringer, I have a spare Xenyx 802 laying around. It works fine, I simply upgraded to another Behringer with effects built-in. Since it is small, shipping would probably be quite cheap.
I've actually never had an issue with Behringer, and not really sure it is deserving of all the criticism it receives. While they may not be studio quality, they are certainly more than adequate for karaoke and live shows IMO. -
Thanks but I think I found something locally. And my dislike for Behringer stuff is a personal preference. I've had not so good luck with a few of their products before.--Gary--
