Can the PA660 be mounted vertically?

    It should be fine. Are you going to mount it on the back of a backseat or something like that? As long as it has some air space it'll work. To make sure, after you drive somewhere when it is decently warm outside just check the temp of the amp. If it nearly burns your hand when you touch it, it is probably too hot and not venting correctly. My MTX has to be horizontal because it gets really hot in the summer. I had a Polk 400.1 for two years and it was always cool even in the summer while it was vertical (Class D vs. AB however).
