Polk Atrium 65 outdoor speakers..
Last year I purchased these speakers and I just hooked them up, I went to best buy and purchased a cheap pioneer receiver for $260, I just wanted background music when we are enjoying the new deck ( the work on my house has been a work in progress for the last couple of years)
I just wanted to post that with this receiver these speakers sound great in my back yard, I am very happy with the results and I haven't even played with the settings on the receiver and the big plus for me is it's iPad iPhone ready..
Bring on the BBQ weekends..

Glad to hear this as I'm looking at getting a pair of outdoor speakers. I'm assuming these are weather proof? and yes bring on more BBQ weekends, weekdays work to, as I now have 2 Weber kettle grills so I'll be grilling in stereo.Monitor 7C's With Tubes

Yes, they're weather proof. There's pictures here of people with icicles dripping from them. I think other people buried them in snow and water for a few days and they still played fine afterward.
I have Atrium 4's and 5's. The 4's are a little week on bass so I swapped them for 5's for my kitchen. Both sound great and are built really well. I'm moving the 4's outdoors when I get my pergola built. -
They're not quite as nice as the 65's, but I installed some Atrium 5's a few days ago and they definitely exceeded my expectations. Glad to hear you like em!

I set up some atrium 30's and the terra cotta sub for a friend and it's extremely nice. I liked the sub so much I got one too. For some reason it's not putting out much of anything, and my friends puts out sweet bass. Im sure I've mis wired something but I haven't figured it out yet. I was planning on opening it up to see if something is loose or internally mis wired.
