Huge 18" sony speakers, cant find anything about these.. anyone seen them before.. Loud as Hell, kinda sound like hell too...LOL

    I see you've been to "Kabukistan"! Where are the rest of your drivers?

    When these were made, just about all Japanese consumer audio corps (Pioneer, Kenwood, Sansui, etc) made some speakers that looked just like them. They were BIG, didn't weigh enough for their size, had diminutive magnetic assemblies for giant speakers, and could not handle too much power! Mostly sounding like a cheap sloppy bookshelf that could, if pressed, move a lot of air but not produce a lot of low frequency punch!

    Don't know that model..but it's generic. Replace the missing drivers and get them in your garage!

    There all there, just a terrible pic.. and your right they are bassy but not like you would expect from an 18" and they sound like crap. after two minutes my ears where ready to bleed and out to the garage they went

    i almost made a 70-80 mile trip myself to portland maine to get some big 3-4ft tall sony's. they were 2 units to each speaker. thought they looked vintage. thought they looked kick ****. i see there still for sale 3 weeks later....it all depends what you want. if you like them. your all good. its all about your what like....i got on CP and asked before i drove and bought them. i ended up sleeping in and enjoying a relaxing day

    I have SSU-4000 and these are huge.
    Treble are very strong on loud volume but decent sound.
