I know that I had a couple of other threads separately for these items, but I decided to condense everything into one thread and ad some more items for sale.
This is a complete 7 channel home theater set-up for anyone looking for an awesome system at around 1/3 of the price when new. Below are the details:
Denon 3806 Receiver = $500.00 Shipped to the lower 48 states, or less if the sale is local
Link to specifications for the receiver:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rQqa777...l#overview-tab
1) PAIR of Polk RTI 70 tower speakers = $350.00 plus shipping, if the purchase is not local
2) SINGLE Polk CSI 40 center channel speaker = $200.00 plus shipping, if the purchase is not local
3) Pair of Polk FXI 30 Bipole/Dipole surround sound speakers = $200.00 plus shipping, if the purchase is not local
4) Pair of RTI 38 bookshelf or surround sound speakers (one of them has some damage to the enclosure (corners) and grill, while the other one just has a small blemish on the bottom of the enclosure, but the speakers operate flawlessly, so it is just cosmetic.) = $150.00 plus shipping, if the purchase is not local.
BONUS: For anyone that purchases at once items 1 through 4 for my asking price, I will deduct $200.00 from the total sale price of the speakers. You just pay for the shipping cost, if the purchase is not local.
Please PM me for more details and for pictures, if interested. Items are located in Central California.

Back to the top for the weekend shoppers:)

I am negotiable on the price, especially if all speakers and receiver are purchased together as a package.
-
just a heads-up - your link to crutchfield appears to be dead... GLWS2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server

Thanks. It used to work, LOL:) -
Will sell everything (receiver and all 7 speakers) for $1.100 plus shipping, if the sale is not local.
-
Several inquiries, but no cash exchanges as of yet:)
-
Price lowered to $1.000 for everything. Receiver + all seven speakers with all acessories and manuals that came from factory.
-
OK folks, looking for input of why this is taking so long to sell. Isn't this a really nice set-up for just 1K? Seven nice speakers with a good clean and powerful receiver.

Back up to the top.

where do you live ?
Is Brasil the local location ?Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

Hi, yes, I have them all listed separately in my first post, or as a discounted package if purchased all at once. -
Any other sites that I could obtain national exposure? I also have this on my local Craigs List, and checked a few other sites, but too complicated to advertise.

Look man, if you do a search on eBay for a denon avr 3806, scroll down on the left hand side and check completed listings, you will see what the market value is for this model. It doesn't usually go for anywhere near what youre asking. I admit it looks since, but it's an older model missing a lot of features that some folks are looking for. If you are willing to price in line with current market value you will have a better shot. As for the speakers, they are an older model that Polk only made for about a 1.5 years, so they are not as popular and harder to get market value for. But if you look at the older versions (rt800i for instance) you will get a good idea of market value.
As for other venues, I would suggest audiogon or eBay. But honestly you won't do any better at the prices you are asking. BTW, I wouldn't say any of this if you didn't ask ;-)Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Roofie, thanks bro. I did search E-Bay, and found some 3806's that were scratched (unlike mine) selling for around $400.00 plus shipping. I have discounted the entire package to 1K, so about $350.00 to $400.00 off discount if adding up all items separately. I am negotiable if one wishes to purchase items separately, but have substantially discounted for the entire purchase.

You asked so I will reply......prices are way too high. I sold the same RTI70's in mint condition, a CS245i and a MINT Yamaha Rx-V800 for $225 a few months ago. I bought them all 3 years ago for $325. To be blunt.....cut $150 off your asking price and make it the SHIPPED price.....Onkyo TX-NR809

Folks, I am receiving some input, but some have no basis. King, you are mostly comparing apples to oranges. The ONLY thing that is the same that you sold is the RTI 70, and all else differs. For starter, the Yamaha receiver that you sold is much older and inferior to the Denon 3806, not to mention that when new it retailed for $500.00 less than the Denon. Secondly, the Polk CS245I is an older model that the CSI40, and you had already bought everything used to start with. It would be like me comparing what a Honda Civic sold for when I am selling a Honda Accord. Not an apples to apples comparison. All of my items were purchased brand new, and I have in total seven speakers (when you had three), with a much superior and costly receiver. I agree that the receiver on its own may be slightly overpriced, and I am negotiable on that. But I believe that the TOTAL price for all seven speakers and receiver for $1k is very reasonable, especially given the condition. I only have this ad on this Forum, so I will explore E-bay, Audiogon, and possibly the AVS Forum. Just a lack of exposure. -
brasil, I also gave you feedback on your prices via PM. If the goods were priced right, they would sell right here on the Polk forum. Good luck with the other venues.
-
The other thing to note here is that any time a new seller on any venue (eBay, audiogon, or cp) lists their items north of market value it makes it extra tough to sell. My first couple sales here on cp were intentionally very Good deals to establish myself as a reputable seller. So Any venue you list on is going to be tough if you have no sales record and your prices remain well above market value.

Fair enough......but you asked why it hasn't sold.....yet you have an argument everytime somebody explains why. The fact is......it's priced way too high. If it was priced better it would be long gone. Nobody is going to spend over $1000 shipped for speakers that age and a receiver that is vastly inferior technology wise to today's standards when for a tiny bit more they can get brand new equipment with all the bells and whistles needed for today. If you want it sold, sell everything for $900 shipped....or keep it at the same price and wonder why it hasn't sold.
At any rate.....it is very solid stuff. That Denon is a nice receiver and while the 70's were not highly regarded speakers they do make solid speakers for a HT setup.Onkyo TX-NR809

While I may be a new seller on this Forum, I have been a member in good standing since 2003. The same people that sent me PM's offering their opinions on price stating that they did not want to crap my thread also continue to constantly post on this thread. I will not give away the system, and would rather keep it if it comes to that. Everyone is looking for a steal these days, but of course is not willing to **** out their system, if you know what I mean. I think that this is best suited for a local sale or within the state of California, where shipping is not involved. For those saying that they can purchase 7 speakers like the ones that I am selling and an EQUALLY nice receiver with the same power rating for less than 1K, I doubt it unless it is a desperate/distressed sale. In the end, if anyone is serious about the purchase, they can always contact me to make an offer. Below is some revised pricing in lieu of what some have posted here, but I will not drop the price any further, and would rather keep the system or actually give it away to a friend or family member, if it comes to that. Too many mooches our there. If you feel that you can buy better for cheaper, then go ahead by all means, and do not let me or anyone else stop you. I am the original owner of everything here and all is meticulously mainained in a child and smoke free environment. These prices obviously do not include shipping, so if necessary, that is what it is.
1) Denon 3806 Receiver = $400.00
2) PAIR of Polk RTI 70 tower speakers = $350.00
3) SINGLE Polk CSI 40 center channel speaker = $200.00
4) Pair of Polk FXI 30 Bipole/Dipole surround sound speakers = $200.00
5) Pair of RTI 38 bookshelf or surround sound speakers (one of them has some damage to the enclosure (corners) and grill, while the other one just has a small blemish on the bottom of the enclosure, but the speakers operate flawlessly, so it is just cosmetic.) = $100.00
If anyone is interested in purchasing the entire system or any item in particular, let me know and we can discuss the details privately. Thanks. -
I think the pricing problem lies in that you are the original owner of the equipment. I am sure you dropped some serious coinage on the system and you don't want to feel like you are "giving" it away. Unfortunately, most gear depreciates like a mobile home. Most of the comments you have received are valid from the perspective of that many have purchased better gear for less money. This is not a knock on the gear or you, just a reality that is sometimes hard to digest.
-
The other side of it is that prices for equivalent NEW speakers have dropped as well, which lowers the value of your old gear considerably. That said, I have a very similar system to what is being sold here, and it would make a nice rig for someone. Good luck with your sale.Equipment list:
