The other night, while I was channel-surfing, I came upon Arsenio Hall on CNN's Piers Morgan chat show. I've enjoyed Arsenio's recent stint on "Celebrity Apprentice" and I thought he was much better as a talk show host than that Piers Morgan guy. In fact, now that I think about it, I miss Arsenio's old talk show.

Were you a fan of Arsenio's old talk show?

+1000 - couldn't bear to watch him. What a boot licker which made him a terrible interviewer.

BTW, Piers Morgan is a total tool as well. . . . .IMHO

No, not in the least. As stated above, he kisses more **** than a crooked politician kisses babies and he had crappy guests.

The wife and I are with you! He did great interviews and the musical guests were phenomenal. It's ashamed what talk tv has become.

Agreed. Funny guy with a crazy laugh. Most of the negative comments are from Oprah Winfrey fans.

Does it make you feel special to try and belittle people that have opinions that differ from yours?

"Okra" Winfrey blow as well - her main purpose seems to be self aggrandisement.

    IMHO of course!

I thought he was the most entertianing talk show host from 1989 to 1992. Loved the dog pound and the band!!! Loved those flashy suits he wore!!!

When the format changed sometime in 1992, the show was not the same since.
Statistics show that 98% of us will die at some point in our lifetime.

The other 2% will work for WalMart.

It wasn't the worst show on TV. I watched it sometimes, didn't go out of my way to see it though.

I agree. Back then, some of Arsenio's guests and musical guests weren't seen on Carson and Letterman, which makes Arsenio's show exciting.

It was the first nighttime talk show that I remember that was aimed primarily at a young audience which did mean much different guests (especially musically). Given that I was in my late teens and early twenties when it was on, I guess it was aimed at my generation, so it is probably no surprise that I liked it.

Who know that people had such negative opinions of The Arsenio Hall Show?
