Custom Klipsch Fortes

I'm finally looking to sell my highly customized Klipsch Forte speakers. The Fortes are fantastic full range speakers that have the following upgrades:

Crites titanium tweeter diaphragms
Jantzen biamp/biwire crossovers with Crites autotransformers
Jantzen internal wiring
Dampened driver baskets and horns
Plexiglass binding post plates with biamp/biwire option
New driver gaskets and cabinet sealing

These speakers are currently being run with a 40wpc tube amp and produce lows that do not require a subwoofer. I will be moving soon and want to make the jump to corner horns. I'll include a custom pair of 12AWG binding post jumpers with the speakers for single amplification; also included will be the original tweeter diaphragms. Condition on the cabinets is about an 8, and I oil them periodically to keep the wood looking good. These are fantastic sounding speakers, and more space friendly than the huge corner horns.

Local sale only for some of the best Klipsch speakers around; $550.

You're only a couple hours away; you'd be more than welcome to come give them a listen and pick them up.

I used to have the Fortes modded with Crites titanium tweeter diaphragm, poly mids, and his upgraded crossovers. They sounded absolutely incredible with tubes. Jake's mods are several steps above and you're basically paying for the speakers and getting the mods for free. This is THE deal to beat. If I were local to you they'd be in my living room playing music already!

I have Fortes as well. Wish I had bought them with all these mods already done. I would have saved money and have nicer pair of Fortes.

These are so neutral and tube friendly. Great deal!

They look great. A truly awesome speaker for the money. I have Fortes (or the heavily modded "cornscalas") on my short list to own. I listened to a pair a friend picked up. He bought them at a garage sale brought them home for a listen and put his Maggie 1.6s up for sale the next day. I didn't blame him. They are definitely nice. Great imaging and dynamics for days.

I bet yours sound killer, zingo, and they look great. Good luck with the sale!

Congrats on the sale. Somebody just found the deal of a lifetime. What's next? The Jubilees?

The guy did get a great deal, but I couldn't pass up the deal I was getting and needed the cash.

Did not get Jubilees, but my new speaker should be better in the highs and mids. Woofers still horn loaded, just different than the Jubilees, and they are not Klipsch. I want to have them completely put together by next week, and I'll post pictures when I do. Sensitivity will be 105db, and they are the most beautiful speakers I've owned. Curious?
