Don't look like Newegg sells the full line of Polk speakers

I keep hearing on this forum that some members here buy there Polk speakers from Newegg.

Today I went to the Newegg site to look for a pair of RTi A7 floor standers. Couldn't even find them on there website.

Are the RTi A7s being discontinued, or is it that Newegg just has an incomplete line of Polks?

Looked elsewhere, but other than used, refurbished or open-box speakers, it looks like everyone is selling them for $499 each .. no deals insight that I can find for new, unopened RTi A7s.

Thank's,

While I'm at it, I have another question concerning the RTi A7 speakers. I am buying an Onkyo A-9070 integrated 2-channel amp when it becomes available from Onkyo in about a month or two. This amp is rated at 100 watts per channel @ 9 ohms.

Do you think this amp has enough power to drive a pair of RTi A7s and a pair of RTi A3 bookshelf rear speakers for 2-channel music only? I am going to hold off buying a powered sub, but thinking about an Epic Legend 12" sealed / double-side firing sub (300 watts RMS) maybe in the future .... This system will be placed in a living room that's about 15' x 20' with 10' ceilings and partially open on one end. Don't need super-loud!

They may be out of stock. When I had A7's, I bought them from Newegg. So just keep checking. They often run real good sales on Polk stuff so they're probably just out of stock.

My bet is simply that they are out right now since they still have the A9's, A5's and A3's listed. Polk IS NOT getting rid of the A7's.

Newegg says it's deactivated, which means they won't be selling them any more. This usually means they have been discontinued by the manufacturer, but Polk is still selling them directly, so who knows.

Eh, I have seen them do that with some of the Polk Monitor speakers and re-activate them when they get their next shipment in, so I wouldnt totally trust that....

I just looked at the Polk Ebay site. Unfortunatly they don't have any RTi A6s. They do sell lots of the RTi 6, but I think it's a different speaker. Maybe a discontinued speaker?

They also sell lots of the Monitor 60 and 70s ... I am wondering if there not a discontinued line too.

I don't even see the Monitor series or the RTi 6 speakers on the regular Polk website.

The Monitor series is a Newegg ONLY series as the big box stores replaced it with the TSi series, same with the RTi's, they were replaced by the RTi Ax models. You can find both by going to the "Recent and Vintage Models" link under Products and doing a search.

Here's a novel idea: How about calling Newegg and saying something like, "Hey! Ya gettin' any more of those Polk RTi A7s in, or what?"

Or, calling Polk and sayin', "Hey! Ya discontinuin' them RTi A7s, or what?"

    Just a thought...
