Reckhorn B-1 - Price: $85 shipped
The Reckhorn B-1 is a bass management / subwoofer control unit. This device can be used to set high and low crossovers, match gain, and boost one frequency. I personally used it in a two channel system to seamlessly integrate my subwoofer, but it could be used in other applications such as when bi-amping speakers.
Condition:
The face is clean, but there a couple chinks on the top. See pictures at Flickr.
Terms:
Accepting Paypal Gift, Paypal, or USPS money order. Will be packaged well and shipped via USPS Priority Mail. I have additional feedback on Audiogon and on Head-Fi. For sale in the US only.

This unit does not have a hi-pass output, it is made to only output to a subwoofer. When I used this I had one set of outputs from my pre to my amps, and one set to this, which then went to the subwoofer. Keeps the signal path to your main speakers purer, while still adding the subwoofer.

Good morning,
I'm interested, quick question you had said you could use it to bi-amp speakers? How would that work?
Cheers Roger -
Next in line
If Poll500 does not take it I will.
Thanks

Roger,
My speakers are Gallo Ref 3.1s and the 2nd voice coil can be run by a separate amp to bi-amp. I used the Reckhorn as a low pass and a basic EQ to accomplish this. It was Pre->B-1->Amp->Speakers. That way the speakers got the full range signal, but the woofer also got 50hz and below extending my fronts down to 22hz.
The same could be done with a normal pair of speakers w/ two binding posts, but to really see a benefit you would want to bypass the x-over on the speakers.

James sorry to hear you had some bad luck with folks up here.
I was wondering why so many for sales on forum states conus;I thinking it was due to the shipping cost to the great white north hopefully it not because of deals gone bad.
Any way good luck with the sale.

Personally for me its due to shipping costs and also inexperience with customs forms & insurance and also for the person buying it having to factor in the cost of any customs taxes as well."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Roger,
Similar to EndersShadow. One deal there was unexpected customs costs which I ate, the other deal the item was legitimately lost. Since then I decided to do US only.
James -
