Bumping is a way to move a post to the top of the 'new posts' section of the post, sort of a reminder that it's here and probably still for sale.

Where in Maine are you? I'm up here myself.

And what are you looking for? Who knows, I might have something--you never know?

Sure, Augusta is 20 minutes away. Lisbon, I've heard of but never been there.

Yeah, the SDAs were delivered by Lightman from N.C. to Pa. where (I'm originally from so I visit). I picked them up there and brought them up to the Winslow/Fairfield area. That was several years ago.

(Currently I'm running my JBL L80ts on the Jolida with the Polks out of rotation).

If you're in Augusta you probably know those as well?

Yeah, you're right about that. See what you think. For me, tubes are best. But there are certainly nice power amps that are SS. The Denon you have is a decent amp, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe you should look into a decent pre-amp first. Maybe all you need is a Tube pre-amp for now?

Keep an eye out for fleamarket bargains here. I've also seen some Parasounds and some Adcoms on the Craigslist up here.

Sounds like all you "do" need is a decent pre-amp. That Denon is pretty beefy, 8 X 10K filter caps, a toroid and 200 watts per side into 8 ohms. Plenty for those speakers.

A lot of guys here use a small Dared (tube) pre-amp. You might want to do a search on this site and maybe see if you can get your ears on one.

    Happy hunting!
