I ordered a replacement grill for one of my LSi25 speakers this week and I just wanted to give a shout out to Polk Audio customer service. Helen Yarbor was the person who helped me. She was curteous and friendly, asked me what it was like to live up here in Alaska, and was just an all around wonderful person to interact with. She took pity on me with the crazy shipping prices up to hear and was able to give me a discount on the grill itself. A mere 2 days after ordering it, it was at my front door and my speaker now has a nice new grill to replace the old one which had become frayed after several moves. I cannot speak highly enough of Polk Audio and the way in which I was treated. They sell a great product and they have great people selling it as well. The next time I look to upgrade my speakers (hello LSiM!), Polk Audio will be the place I look FIRST!

Yup... Polk's CS is the greatest. I recently had an unfortunate incident involving dog piss that ruined the base of one of my RTi70s. I knew it was a long shot to ask, but I e-mailed them about my "canine urination situation". They thought my e-mail was so funny that they called me... and one of them dug through the warehouse and found what they believe to be the last RTi70 baseplate in their possession. Sent it out to me free of charge, with replacement screws to boot! Awesome customer service for an 8+ year old speaker! You can bet that if it ever comes time to replace my speakers, Polk will be first on my list.

Which is why I don't own any floorstanding speakers these days. And my sub is a down-firing one. My old (13) Jack Russell sometimes get frustrated when left home alone and spoils things.

I suppose it could be fortunate if something was on fire (other than a barbecue) and your best friend came to the rescue with a full bladder!
