The FXiA6 should blow away the Monitor 30. Use the Monitor 30's as front presence speakers.

How much difference do you think I'm going to hear when I replace the 30's with these?

    Huge!!

Wow, this thread is a blast from the not so distance past. Tommy, your set up has come a long way in the last year ;)

Can anyone give their opinion on how these surrounds would perform for a home theatre with 2 rows of seating if they were placed in between the rows?

I own these and they are by far one of the best choices I've made and I believe they would sound incredible between theater seats. I can't wait to be able to amplify them. currently working on getting my custom wires done first.

Thanks for your feedback. The reason I ask is that they only have a driver on a single side so I'm wondering if the row that isn't facing the driver will have an obscure soundfield?

Mine are located on the sides and they sound fantastic. As long as your not sitting right next to the speaker I would say it should envelope the room quite nicely. Very well balanced speaker in my opinion. Best place for me to place it was about 2-3 feet above my head and about 6-10 feet from any listening spot and check and make sure the bi-pole/ di-pole settings are set properly.

I agree with this. These speakers put out the sound. Very strong, clean, AWESOME speaker. I have enjoyed these from day one and they continue to impress every time I listen to them.

I have experimented with placement and these speakers do a great job of expanding the sound field no matter where you put them. The versatility of these speakers alone make them worth the price of admission.

Excellent post/statement. The right tool for the right job as I say. This is why for a HT environment, I like this type of speaker over a directional one.
