This Dac has caught my eye and has me thinking it may be a nice alternative to the W4S Dac 2 that is currently the budget king. Has any members here been considering this Dac or giving it any thoughts ?

Does any one here have any experience with other Wadia products and if so what was your thoughts ?

Looks like a very nice unit, musicdirect has a bundle package with an itransport 171 and a Green Hornet cable. Let us know if you get it what you think.

They don't even tell you what DAC chip is inside. Looks nice though. Don't care for the layout on the back.

LOL....that's the first thing I thought. I guess they thought people wouldn't care about such trivial things since it's a 'decoding computer'.

Stated as 32 bit with digital volume control,my guess is the ESS 9018.

Agreed. With Wadia I wouldn't expect less, especially for $1,299.

"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
